Happy Spring!

Happy Spring!

Be beautiful and fresh...

The Vernal Equinox

Ah, spring! This season brings increasing daylight, warming temperatures, and the rebirth of flora and fauna.
The word equinox is derived from the Latin words meaning “equal night.” Days and nights are approximately equal everywhere and the Sun rises and sets due east and west.
At the equinoxes, the tilt of Earth relative to the Sun is zero, which means that Earth’s axis neither points toward nor away from the Sun. (However, the tilt of Earth relative to its plane of orbit, called the ecliptic plane, is always about 23.5 degrees.)

Be good to yourself...

Be good to yourself...

Fallen to the ground
It seems like I'm whole again
What can they do
I've learnt to take it
If only I knew then
The world is turning night and day
So love let it shine away
Reach out and touch the sun
Reach out and feel again
You've gotta reach out
Again
This situation,
Coming to the end
Now the light is back again

Multicoloured Roses, they are REAL and alive!

Few days I took a walk to our local market at Granville Island. These roses were beautiful, and they were real! Yes, I don't know what they were fed with, but the effect is fantastic!

Ok, just googled it: They were created in the Netherlands and are dyed using hypodermic needles inserted in the stems as they grow. So cool, don't you think... Click images to see them closer.

More from my trip to Granville Island, I found there Banana Flower for only $49 for a stem.

Yes, it was an interesting evening meeting two Urmas in one night! Unusual name — and not one but two girls showed up with that name! Is it a coincident, small coincident...
